Shamiri Girls

Shamiri Girls is our mentor-ship program for girls and young ladies. Shamiri is a Swahili word that means to thrive or flourish, and perfectly describes our desire and prayer for these young ladies; that they would thrive in the love of King Jesus! 
Our girls program runs weekly in a school where we meet with Junior High girls, and on school holidays with a weekly meeting at our office. Along with our weekly program, we also hold annual events where a large number of girls gather, distribute pads, and enjoy fun outings occasionally.
As we mentor and teach young ladies we share the understanding that Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life.  With Christ as the foundation we also have discussions on relevant topics about being a woman, and the challenges young women face in the community where they are living.
